Happy Valentine’s Day!

I don’t really get into Valentine’s Day, but there are a couple of things I like about it: heart shaped donuts and cookies, lots of pink and red everywhere, and showing those that you love how much they mean to you. I feel so lucky to have two Valentines in my life this year, these handsome guys:loves1

If you’re looking for Valentine’s gifts for your dog or something to do this year, here are some ideas to show your dog some love this Valentine’s Day:

Pretty Fluffy has some easy DIY projects to make your dog an extra special homemade gift this Valentine’s Day.

Treat Yo Dog

The Cleveland area has a few dog bakeries where you can get your dog a pupcake, cookie or other fancy dog pastry to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Fetch Pet Boutique in Rocky River, One Lucky Dog in Medina, Grateful Dog Bakery in North Ridgeville and K-9 Kingdom in Highland Heights offer a variety of dog treats to spoil your pup this Valentine’s Day.

What to Do

Looking for something to do on Valentine’s Day? Hit up Stampers Grill from 4-6 p.m. where $20 will get you all you can eat and drink (beer and wine!) to benefit Voices in the Dark Animal Rescue. The rescue group will also be providing information on city pit bull bans and what you can do to help eliminate them. In addition to food and drinks, there will be Couples and Singles Raffle Baskets, and 50/50 drawings. You can purchase tickets here: http://voicesinthedarkanimalrescue.weebly.com/pittie-party–fundraiser.html

And remember…as long as you have a dog by your side you are never without love

If you’re feeling down this Valentine’s Day about not being in a relationship, just turn to your furry friend and give them some love. You are never alone when you have a dog. And then read this article to remind yourself what a catch you are: http://www.sidewalkdog.com/blog/2015/02/5-reasons-to-date-a-dog-owner/

Happy Valentine’s Day from Hunter, Roscoe and I! I’m pretty excited about the present my furry Valentine got me – Hunter Green Hunter boots! (He’s a little self absorbed, but he has good taste.)
