Dog Friendly Day Out: Chagrin Falls Main Street

From waterfalls to window shopping and dog friendly patios and trails, Chagrin Falls’ Main Street area is the perfect spot to spend a day with your dog. Although a lot of outdoor shopping areas allow dogs, not many of these areas feel truly dog friendly. You can’t walk around Chagrin Falls Main Street area without meeting other dogs, plus there’s sightseeing that both you and your dog will enjoy.

Here’s some ideas for what to do on your dog friendly day out in Chagrin Falls:

Brunch

Start your day off at Yours Truly for a bite to eat. The breakfast/lunch spot has a large dog-friendly patio. On a nice summer day it’s not unusual to see several dogs hanging out on the patio (despite the picture below which was taken later in the day on a not-that-warm of a day). It’s spacious enough too that your dog will feel comfortable.

The Falls

You can’t take a trip to Chagrin Falls and not see the falls, of course. If your dog doesn’t enjoy walking the steps down to the falls, you can see them on the other side as well (although they’re not as impressive). Hunter enjoyed checking out the falls, so much so I thought he might jump in.

Riverside Park

In addition to the falls, there’s also a scenic area with lots of green space (plus a playground for any kids in your group) to walk around the falls. This area is popular with dogs, so you’re bound to run into a few on your walk. I swear there were a lot of other people, and dogs, out and about on my visit. I somehow only got pictures with no one in them.

Window shopping

There are a lot of cute stores that you’ll probably enjoy walking around and seeing more than your dog, but it’s still worth the walk around the shopping area. You can also see some of the historic spots in the Main Street area.

Ice Cream!

No day on the town is complete without ice cream! You have some great options on Main Street too, with Euclid Beach Custard and Jeni’s. Hunter enjoyed the people watching and ice cream begging at Euclid Beach Custard.

This area has become one of our favorites, so we will definitely be back soon!
