What to do in April

The weather is getting better and there’s a lot of fun stuff going on this month to get you out and enjoying Spring with your dog. April starts with a bar crawl and ends with a 5K – so get your running, and drinking, shoes ready!

Cleveland Animals Bar Crawl
April 5

Starting off at The Flying Monkey in Tremont, this bar crawl in support of the Cleveland Animal Protective League will hit up six bars from Tremont to downtown. Bar crawlers purchased a t-shirt in advance, but if you didn’t get one you can still take part in the event. Organizers say that donations will be accepted the day of the bar crawl for anyone who wants to take part.

Summit Mall Pet Expo

The Pet Expo will feature an Ask the Vet Center, doggie fashions, dog trainers, animal shelters, and doggie goodie bags as well as local celebrity Dick Goddard of Fox 8 who will be on hand to sign autographs. You can also join in for Wag n’ Walk inside the mall from 7:30 AM – 9:30 AM, followed by a special “Blessing of the Animals” at 9:45 AM.  Visit www.pmashows.com for more info.

Pucks & Paws
April 14

Bring your dog to watch the Lake Erie Monsters take on the Rochester Americans. Spring Dog Hike
April 19

Secondhand Mutts is inviting dog owners to celebrate Dyngus Day with their dogs at Kishka’s Beer Heaven Tent on Detroit and W. 58th. 5K Fur Fun Run and Dog Walk
April 27
